Recently, Britain’s Homeland Party announced their intentions to set up a local branch in the North of Ireland.
The endeavour has been disastrous.
Homeland is a relatively new British right-wing microparty, formed in 2024, as a splinter of Patriotic Alternative. The split was primarily the result of Scottish members’ desire to participate in electoral politics and was led by current party chairman Kenny Smith.
The party claims to provide a sensible nationalist alternative to parties such as the Conservatives and Reform, and pushes heavily for remigration. A number of right-wing British influencers, such as YouKipper and Zoomer Historian, had previously attached themselves to Homeland and began spreading the party’s message.
Despite its claims to sensible nationalism and its relatively clean image, the party itself was founded by members who, to be fair, come from more openly hardline backgrounds. A number of journalistic and “antifascist” exposés have revealed that many in the party vanguard have espoused racialist and National Socialist sentiments in the past. But they have shown the ability to engage in more pragmatic politics, making several strides forward in 2024; merging with Identity England, hosting guest speakers from the ascensant Alternative für Deutschland, and sending delegations to Germany to receive media training.
It might seem at odds, then, for a British party which espouses nationalism and which is literally called Homeland, to set up shop in Ireland. The abovementioned announcement of their setting up a branch in the North was met on Twitter with justified dismay by Irish nationalists.
While most political parties in England are met by Irish nationalists with antipathy, Homeland seemed to generate more fellow feeling perhaps because Irish nationalists took Homeland at their word, or rather, their name. Ireland is not, and never will be, the Homeland of the British, and, perhaps spurred by betrayal, or simply finding an avenue of attack, the Irish moved in for the kill.
Therein began a rather bizarre online saga.
Twitter user @AnChudOg posted a thread exposing the history of the new nordie Homeland Branch Organiser Carter McAfee. Without going too much into the sordid details, the thread exposes McAfee’s history of homosexuality and crossdressing. At the time of writing, the thread has over 135,000 views.
Homeleader leader Kenny Smith decided to stand by McAfee a few hours after the thread was posted. While the defence itself seems fair on its face—many people have been negatively influenced by the liberal society that we live in, and of course, we should support people who move away from such behaviours—it did not go down well with other members. McAfee has since deleted his Twitter account, and Steve Laws, one of Homeland’s most prominent activists and spokesmen, expressed his disagreement with the recent decisions and stepped down from the party, citing disagreements with the direction the party is taking. Homeland supporters on Twitter have taken to expressing their disbelief or disgust with the move. Zoomer Historian claimed that Carter was convinced to resign and distanced himself from the party, again citing disagreements with the party’s direction.
Outside of Homeland, many users from right-wing Twitter spheres in various countries began mocking the affair. Some Homeland supporters seemed to acknowledge the difficulty of the North as regards British political parties. Others on the British right appear to be in agreement with Irish nationalists that Homeland should concern itself with Britain and leave Ireland well alone. Homeland itself has taken a serious reputation hit among its target demographics. The Irish nationalists took a victory lap over the incident.
Aside from the mockery from the various right-wing spheres who took issue with the sordid behaviour, a secondary refrain was that Homeland is paying the price for its attempted entry into Irish affairs. Some made the claim that Homeland itself was in the process of imploding as a result.
Supporters of the National Party were keen to point out that Homeland appears to have adopted the National Party’s visual aesthetic down to having its primary brand colour be green, more commonly associated with Ireland than Britain. Political commentator Aris Roussinos noted that the primary driver between the National Party and Homeland is the result of ethnic disputes between Ireland and England.
We must reiterate that British political parties have no place in Ireland or in Irish affairs. The best solution for good relations between the British people and the Irish people is a British withdrawal from Ireland. Perhaps Homeland, and the broader British right, may realise that Britain’s continued occupation of Ireland is more hassle than it’s worth, and is a distraction from solving their own problems in their own homeland across the Irish sea.
And so it goes. Homeland’s first foray into the North seems to have stepped on a political landmine. We await to see if they shall try again.
This is a ridiculous article, peddling ancient hatreds of England, when the real enemy is our displacement. You said “It might seem at odds, then, for a British party which espouses nationalism and which is literally called Homeland, to set up shop in Ireland”. What is incongruous about that? Northern Ireland is the homeland of the British Unionists. It will never be part of the Irish Homeland. Keep your hands off our country, the United Kingdom. Sinn Féinerism bedevils the Irish Right, as they start off by opposing immigration, and then, quite quickly, show their true colours and end up with all this anti-British nonsense. Northern Ireland will NEVER be part of the Republic of Ireland. You are making the same mistake as the Ukraine, in constantly retreading resentment of the country next door. Look where that led the Ukraine.
You brits crack me up. You invade my country spend centuries persecuting my countrymen and you have the arrogance to declare that the Irish soil you’re loyalist friends are squating on will never belong to us.Oh but how dare you paddy for resenting that ,why your being ridiculous you should just get back down in the serf gutter where we want you, your just like that filthy Boer rabble they too should have been grateful to be conquered by the glorious British empire ,but we Brits showed those Boer Women and children just like we showed you paddy ,now shut your filthy Mick mouth or you might end up like those Ukranians.
How childish to simply delete my comment. That really refutes what I said – does it? I thought the Burkean was a little bit better than the Left in such things.
You Can All But Out – Keep ALL Foreign Players Out Of Our Own Irish Affairs
Wheather its the Plantation Of Ulster, Cromwell, the Invasion of Ireland almost 1000yrs ago or the current FOREIGN INVASION REPLANTATION OF IRELAND 2O25…you can all fu.k off back to your own homelands that you are all so fu.kin keen to leave behind in the first place.

Whatever about Mr McAfee’s sexuality or politics, we can all agree that his surname is pure Gael. Most Ulster Prods are Irish or Scottish Gaels, according to Linda Ervine. At a guess, his name means “son of the deer”. That was probably the totem animal of his tribe, back in the day.
Homosexuality is being heavily promoted, and we should be offering training courses so that guys who get tangled up in it can untangle themselves.
I invite Irish nationalists to consider the Antrim question: Mostly loyalist, with very strong geographical and cultural links to Scotland, and a few nationalist villages.
The solution is tiny cantons. Let the nationalists have their own cantons, with their own police and border crossings. Mostly the border will be unmanned, but if there’s “trouble at mill”, they’ll put a few guys on the border to stop any troublemakers.
This Brother War nonsense has gone on too long. Let us do what we can to stop it!
Bad and all as the Orangemen are, at least they are not Pakistanis…
Diarmuid, as you point out, the Pakistani problem is much more intractable. And as you have probably realised, Unionism will become a nonsense when Britain is non-white. Why would Unionists insist on being ruled by Pakistanis and blacks from London? Immigration is therefore destroying Britain’s national identity in a way that makes patriotic issues like Ulster untenable. But the same dynamic is at play in the RoI. I think Britain will be majority ethnic before Ireland, but Ireland is determined to “catch up” as the Dublin elite see it. When the Dublin elite themselves are largely Afghan and Algerian, will they still claim Ulster? The whole thing is becoming a logical nonsense. What would make sense is to keep Ireland for the two traditions that do belong in Ireland and not allow migration to ruin the whole thing. That does mean that Irish patriots should recognise that Unionism is valid and that the Unionists have their rights, something that Somhairle Buidhe explicitly rejects.
“What would make sense is to keep Ireland for the two traditions that do belong in Ireland and not allow migration to ruin the whole thing”
Exactly!
Some Sinn Fein types are boasting that foreigners moving to the North will vote for a United Ireland. But the trend seems to be the other way: If you’re a rape gang Pakistani living in Ulster you’ll want easy access to the rich pickings of Britain.
Even here in the South, many of the Pakistanis/Nigerians would happily vote for the south to surrender and rejoin the Union!
God forbid, but it is quite possible that Two Tier Keir will import a million Pakistanis and Nigerians into Ulster and instruct them to vote for a United Ireland. When the Loyalists in Antrim and elsewhere have a nice peaceful march to object, Starmer will give the million machetes from the Rwanda job to the new dark skinned Irishmen with their funny foreign religions and encourage them to rape and kill all around them.
Would that surprise anyone?
We know that Starmer allowed the Paki rape gang thing against his own fellow English people. If it suited him, or if he was ordered to, he would happily arrange for the darkie army of new Irish to massacre us old whitey Irish, matter a damn if we are Protestant or Catholic, nationalist or loyalist.
Like I say, God forbid such an event!
If we do not hang together, we will hang apart.
I’m all for a united Ireland, but if it happens when the current crowd of criminals are ruling the 26 Counties it can only be a disaster.
Irish patriots do not need to recognise Unionism as “valid”. But we need to recognise that the Orangemen love flying their Union flags. There are only two ways to stop them:
1.Massacre a half million or so. Even apart from the morality of the massacre, the practicalities rule it out.
2.Establish a government of honest men in the 26 counties and demonstrate, over a few decades, that life is more honest, more fun and more in tune with their Christian beliefs than remaining in the Union.
If we want a United Ireland, we must root out the criminals in Kildare Street. Any suggestions?
In the meantime, why don’t we all – republicans and loyalists – unite to save Ireland, our neighbouring island and the rest of Europe by implementing the Great Remigration?
It was very encouraging to see loyalist Union Jacks and republican Tricolours flying side by side at the rally in Belfast.
Diarmuid, I love seeing the patriotic movement in Ireland, including Keith Woods and Niall McConnell, and others. Computing Forever is a great one. When we are seeing our nations, all over Europe, deliberately destroyed, it would be blinkered to allow ourselves to get suckered into retreading historical issues. The Irish demonstration in 2023 was fantastic – I support peaceful demonstrations of course – but you have to react if your children are being stabbed outside a school. Can you imagine being part of a nation than didn’t react at all to that?
Touchè
So we all know and agree that the British Government,Commonwealth and Colonies are responsible and facilitate the Globalist Movement of illegal/legal, unvetted/vetted Criminals
and Parasites that roam freely throughout Open Borders UK/EU/GLOBE…using IRELAND,
THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND, AS THEIR SCAPEGOAT…ay,good neighbours not and the past
repeating itself for the glory and benifit of yours truly…THE BRITISH,CROWN,COLONIES.
The Unionists are of mixed Gaelic/Scottish descent. One of my ancestors, Nicholas Trainor (born around 1820), was from Ballyardel in the Mourne mountains in Co. Down. He was married to Mary Cunningham. Clearly there are two interpretations or two visions of Irishness. John William Foster wrote a good book on this – The Idea of the Union – see https://www.briefingsforbritain.co.uk/the-idea-of-the-union/
