The Irish people have possessed an indomitable will to endure. We have survived genocide and forced famine, rebellion and repression, invasion and suppression, plantation and a host of other evils employed by imperialists to destroy nations like our own. And yet the Irish will for freedom remained undiminished, and the light of our forebears undimmed. It was the unbreakable resolve of nationalists for a sovereign Ireland that brought forth the men of 1916 and gave Pádraig Pearse the strength to whistle Óró Sé on the way to his execution.

But much like steel, the Irish psyche is prone to rust, and through this it is greatly diminished. Establishment conservatives have a corrosive effect on Irish society in much the same way water does to iron. Having lost every conceivable battle, the “establishment clique” works its way through traditionalist movements like a cancer eating away at the body. It replicates, grows, and kills off any potential.

Whether it was Libertas or Fís Nua, Aontú or Renua, the establishment conservatives could be relied upon to latch on like leeches and drain each movement of all vitality

Each of them has filled to the brim their personal accounts, their moral scruples extending deep into your pockets. They take from you and give to themselves, pouring your money into vanity projects like water into cups. They squander what is given to them from hard-working men and women. They contribute nothing.

A veritable host of Thatcherites and Romneyites, their avaricious lust for money and attention knows no bounds – their only commitment is to each other, and to making sure big business has the right to bully whomsoever it pleases, whether it’s small farmers or pro-life legislators.

They are the men you see invited onto every talk show and podcast, the same fiends appearing again and again, saying the same again and again, and losing again and again.

As nationalists, as the custodes of the generations yet to come, as the protectors of the Irish nation and our heritage, we must hold ourselves to a higher standard than the useful crypto-liberal lackeys whom came before us. Those whom fight so viciously and virulently to repress us and impede our ascension lest their positions as the ‘Acceptable Conservatives’ waste away.

If these men had fought the liberals with half the intensity they have fought us, perhaps we wouldn’t be in the situation we are today, one in which the HSE tells women procuring abortions to flush the baby’s remains down the toilet or throw it into a bin.

A question should be asked – why? Why do they feel the need to castigate nationalists, to appease the fictitious moderates? Why do they have such an overwhelming desire to be seen as the moral victors, rather than actually being the victors? Sure, they’ll engage in dirty tricks and threats, and they’ll throw up half-assed campaigns with a fraction of their resources. But what have they actually achieved?

It seems to have been nothing – the millions of euros socially conservative people around the length and breadth of this island has achieved nothing. Squandered and pilfered and thrown like confetti, given to the same lúdramáin over and over.

We must always remember that we are humble custodians, not monarchs claiming a divine right to pillage and plunder the nation.

This humility does not mean we should be timid or afraid of confrontation – indeed we must confront the greedy Judas amongst us. If we are to restore traditionalism’s values and nationalism’s allure, we verily must rout these snakes and imbeciles hiding amongst our number.

I am a professional engineer: to state the obvious – and to go back to basic principles as engineers love to do:

Wanting a United Ireland is a perfectly respectable intellectual position – but – to attain this you are going to have to up your game.

You are going to have to start looking at the world as it is: not how you would like it to be – and certainly not to imagine that the UK is the same today as it was in 1853 or 1983. To imagine that the Brits are “nostalgic for empire” as so many in Ireland do, is a concept so bizarre that if you were to repeat it in Brit company, it would provoke laughter and they would think you were a wee bit strange.

The world is driven by creative science, engineering and technology and we are now well into the 4th industrial Revolution. The development of the transistor by Bardeen/Brattain, at AT&T Bell Labs in 1947 and the mass production of microprocessors, wrought changes in society that has dwarfed any of those achieved by political philosophy. The invention the World Wide Web by Tim Berners-Lee in 1989 has ensured a barely controlled dialogue between millions and has changed the world forever.

Wallowing in endless victimhood, self-pity and bad history is a deadly equation which demonises the innocent and legitimises any atrocity be it ever so vile. Bad history: because if you study history seriously you learn not to make moral judgements unless within the framework of the time – to use history as a way of building up resentment is not history – it is politics: and pretty morally dubious politics at that. And – it does not work.

I repeat again – you need to up your game.

An independent United Ireland is a sleeping giant: what can be achieved with the technology of the 4th Industrial Revolution is ill-understood by politicians on both sides of the Irish Sea. But with the inclusion of the North it needs to be realised that there will be a price to be paid in identity and self by both the South and North of Ireland – unless a Zimbabwe style Civil War burnout and land looting is contemplated for the Six Counties.

And just as there will be a price to be paid for an independent United Ireland, there is a price to be paid for being a part of the EU: and that particular price will be total political, fiscal and financial tax control of Ireland by the EU – turning Ireland into a “rootless money-making plantation.” Just ask Greece – just ask the Troika: it will be done very nicely with more fig leaves than a gallon of califig syrup but Ireland was squashed like a bug in 2008 and 2010 by the EU – it does not like opposition.

One day Ireland will have to choose.

All empires use varying levels of compulsion and all empires fail – and the EU is no exception. It will work – until it doesn’t.

    As Tacitus truly said:

“Victor and vanquished never unite in substantial agreement.”

Taoiseach Varadkar has made few political friends in the UK and the US – but this won’t matter much to Ireland’s relations with both the UK and the US – which will always remain warm even if at times warm becomes red-hot.

  2. I see nationalism as a positive, democratic force that can hold a government to account and force it to serve the public interest. But when a small nation constantly reprises hatred for its larger neighbour, something less positive is at work. The Irish nation most certainly have never been subject to genocide. This is simply a malicious lie, and a positive nationalism in Ireland cannot take root based on such lies. Gollum in the Lord of the Rings exhibits a schizoid personality disorder, hating everything made by elves. The Irish Gollums (Golmanna na hÉireann) are similarly eaten up with hatred and form an identity based on that. All you can do is destroy your relationship with Britain. I think that could lead to the end of the common travel arrangement and the right to work in England for a start. As the West breaks down, there is even the possibility over a long timeframe of a return to war — and the taking of the RoI back into British ownership — a development that the Irish would richly deserve and have brought on themselves. Be better people, please!

    1. The bitterness cuts both ways as evident by your comments.

Little Englanders are the mirror inverse of four pint provos in Ireland.

The English are in no position to command a demographic majority in their own capital let alone annex the 26 counties.

It is not the English that Ireland has to worry about: it is the EU which is poised to strip Ireland of its hard won independence.

Metaphors are dangerous things: Gollum may also be regarded as the representation of flawed humanity and is the real hero of LOTR: if it were not for Gollum all would have failed.

There is The McCarthy Plan. Ethno Nationalism for all people’s of the world, protected by all people’s. No more wars between people’s, forever. Heal the earth and become good stewards of it. Isolate the warmongers, secret societies and criminals. That’s the basic plan. It’s possible. Let’s talk about how.

Trouble is Michael: wars happen because people enjoy them – I am afraid it is part of everyone’s makeup – yes even yours. So I have settled for the classical Christian proposition that man is a flawed entity and we must just do our best. When people try and alter the state of the humanity then it always ends with Pol Pot, Auschwitz and the Gulag.

All wars are rigged. I served in one as a soldier. Then over fifteen years as a photojournalist, I covered wars in south east Asia, eastern Europe and east Africa. I went on to work for a US Congressman and Presidential candidate. The swamp reaches Dublin. Read, Putin’s reign of Terror, by Christopher Jon Bjerkness. Our Lord warned us in Matthew 23. Let’s try and build that better world. I think we can

Eoin , you’re “Fior Gael “ rhetoric is marvelous , a church gate speaker of high reknown and columnist with “An Cliamh Solish “ you would have been for sure . Drilling with the IRB , file gan smal … but I digress, these are the ambitions of a young man approximately two centuries ago .
The country and people who dreamt those dreams are gone like Monty Python ‘s parrot 🦜.
It existed in the minds of 1916 but failed the reality test of history .
Emigration and a stagnating economy did it in
Immigration and EU policy provided the coup de grace to the Aishlin Geal of PH Pearce .

So who’s to blame for this outcome?, not the Fenians , not Tone ,Emmet or Gladstone . They could never have anticipated what the EEC /EU Internationalist cabal has wrought .
The Immigrants are here to stay, their Grandparents came from Lagos ,they are from Tallaght .
There are more Mandarin and Russian speakers in Ireland than Gaelic speakers . Somebody needs to address this reality and soon .
I find it dispiriting to see so many on the conservative online communities ignoring this problem and succumbing to the siren call of E M Jones swivel eyed Uber Catholism.
    Mise Le Meas .
